According to Crowdfund Insider, Google announced it would fund Washington D.C. area teachers on the education crowdfunding platform DonorsChoose.org.  The funding gave 276 D.C teachers a total of the $232,009. The funds will provide materials for 31,362 students. Read more...

Fox Fans Met Goal and Charities Get Money

According to the Chronicle of Philanthropy, Fox network challenged fans to promote their upcoming program "Red Band Society" by sharing content. Fox also said if fans met the “flock-to-unlock” goal it would donate $100,000 total to five charities. The fans met the goal and Fox donated money to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, and Teen Cancer America.
