Podio: Making Collaboration Easy
Podio, by Citrix, is an online collaboration platform originally designed for businesses, but now Citrix is offering a free version for non-profits, Podio for Nonprofits.
Podio for Non-profits, just like regular Podio, is designed to improve your organization’s collaboration and communication. Your organization can use Podio to share everything from project notes to large video files in real-time.
The only thing required for Podio is internet access, which makes it perfect for non-profits with team members in different locations. With Podio, your information is available 24/7 and it is securely stored in the cloud, only accessible to those who are authorized to use it.
Podio works other online services such as Dropbox, GoToMeeting, SkyDrive, ShareFile, Evernote, Google Drive and Box and can help your organization with internal reports, day-to-day operations, and inter- and intra-departmental communication.
To use Podio, you simply create an account. Once you have an account you can create a central workspace. Individual users set up project specific workspaces and, as necessary grant other team members access to the workspace. In the workspace, users can create tasks, add calendars, and schedule meeting.
Podio is perfect for event management, you can co-ordinate planning, manage deadlines and assign tasks. It even helps you track your event budget.
You can also use Podio to create web sign up sheets for events. Get an accurate idea of attendees and since the information is stored in one location, it is easy to find for any follow-ups.
Save time and aggravation when planning your next meeting, you can eliminate scheduling hassles and trying to a mutually agreeable meeting location by using Podio to create an online meeting.
Podio offers hundreds of apps through their App Market. In the market, you can find everything from lead management apps to expense reports, but if you can’t find an app to fit your organization’s needs you can create one with the App Builder-no programming skills are required.
Podio offers tutorials and online support.
