According to TechCrunch, technology is transforming how transplant organs are acquired.

Every year, more than 100,000 people in the United States wait for an organ donation. More than a dozen people will die each day still waiting. Such is the brutal math and the necessary optimism required to work in the organ procurement world.

Road to Hire received a $200,000 grant which it will use to increase its technical training program for young adults, reports BizJournals. 

A $200,000 grant will help local organization Road to Hire accelerate its technical training programs for underrepresented young adults. 

Milwaukee’s MKE Black won a Give Smart Award, which it will use to build its staff and run a fundraising campaign, reports BizJournals. 

The local nonprofit MKE Black plans to use a recent Give Smart award to pursue its first internal fundraising campaign and hopefully build a paid staff.
