Giving Refugees Timely Information

Cisco partnered with nonprofits to ensure that refugees had access to accurate and timely information regarding public health, reports Yahoo.

According to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), an estimated 82.4 million people have now been forced to leave their homes, fleeing conflict, civil unrest, persecution, and areas devastated by climate change.

Two Detroit Nonprofits Receive Economic Grants

According to Detroit Free Press, two Detroit area nonprofits Automation Alley and TechTown have received funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration. 

Two metro Detroit entities — Automation Alley in Troy and TechTown in Detroit — are among 50 recipients of funding from the U.S. Economic Development Administration.
