North American United Way Affiliates Can Simplify, Using Sage Rainbow Edition Software
Sage Software has announced the availability of Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition 7, its donor management software for United Way affiliates in North America. The updated product is designed to help United Way affiliates more easily meet fundraising goals, while maximizing the constituent and volunteer experiences. The latest enhancements help simplify travel planning, donor correspondence and online gift management, data administration and sharing, and volunteer and grants management for program development and workplace campaign staff.
Significant Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition enhancements were achieved through a combined effort of the customer base, the North American Rainbow User Group (NARUG), and Sage Software, said Marjorie Desmond, IT manager for United Way of Greater Seacoast in Portsmouth, N.H., and current chair of the NARUG. A favorite new feature is the Google Maps integration, which allows relationship managers to better plan their travel days, and can help save mileage expenses for any organization. The new letter functionality will enable us to respond faster, and with more personalized correspondence, to our constituents. Interactive grid views, which are exportable to Microsoft® Excel spreadsheets, will give us the flexibility to manage and sort complex data in a way that can be easily understood by anyone within an organization.
Improved Donor Correspondence
Expanded pledge and gift views within Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition allow United Way affiliates to access information more quickly. Shared grid options enable them to export data directly into Excel spreadsheets, plus hide and manage the order of columns, so they can customize how information is viewed by various audiences.
Simpler Travel Planning and Donor Correspondence
Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition's new Google Maps integration allows United Way organizations to view selected addresses on a map, plus get directions between multiple addresses. The new Easy Letter functionality helps increase response time and personalization by giving the user access to a pre-formatted Microsoft Word document, using a default letter template or the specific United Way organization's own template. Improved Microsoft Outlook integration helps keep users on track.
More Efficient Volunteer Management
The new Volunteer Management module allows United Way affiliates to streamline their volunteer management process by building detailed profiles, including skills, availability, preferences, and wish lists, for each volunteer. Affiliates can enter detailed volunteer data into Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition, giving them a better picture of volunteer opportunities existing within their own organization or external agencies. They can use the site-configurable matching process to more easily link volunteers with appropriate opportunities, and then save and track each match, plus link tasks to volunteer profiles, opportunities, and placements.
Improved Grants Management
Several enhancements, such as a new scheduled payment date manager, were built into Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition to help United Way affiliates more easily administer their various grants. Development staff can also now see running totals and sub-totals when viewing or editing grant proposals, mass add approval steps using a base model, and mass renew grant proposals. Grant allocations can now be integrated to direct giving projects or linked to receivables.
Simpler Online Gift Management
The online donation tool, called Donate Now powered by Sage Payment Solutions, now allows United Way affiliates to accept online credit card donations and seamlessly import them into Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition.
Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition software was designed in conjunction with United Ways to provide United Way affiliates with complete integrated fundraising, fund management, donor database and reporting tools. Optional, built-in Grant Management functionality allows each organization to track, approve, and manage outgoing funds, from agency application through disbursement. Sage Fundraising 100 Rainbow Edition also helps United Way affiliates integrate workplace campaigns and contacts, including donors, companies, prospects, staff, volunteers, and community agencies, and manage volunteers.
