Missouri Governor Promises Funds to Nonprofits

Missouri governor earmarks $20 million dollars in the state budget to help nonprofits, reports the Fulton Sun. 

The chase to keep up with evolving technology can be frustrating.

Nonprofits feel that pressure to stay on top of the latest equipment, which may help them better serve their clients, but resist so they use every available dime for the greater good.


Tech Problem Nearly Sunk Nonprofit

According to GeekWire, TisBest is a nonprofit that almost wasn’t due to a problem with their credit card processor. 

“If this was an ordinary tech startup being done just for the money,” Erik Marks said, “this would have been put in the grave in ‘08.”.


Nonprofits Victim of Ransomware Attacks

According to Dark Reading, nonprofits are increasingly the target of ransomware attacks. 

Nonprofits often fly under the radar when ransomware attackers are looking for prey. Media reporting of nonprofit ransomware incidents has been minimal, aside from attacks on NGOs in Philadelphia and New Hampshire.
