Red Kettle Goes High Tech

Grand Rapid’s Red Kettle campaign is test driving technology that allows donors to make contactless donations, reports Grand Rapids Business Journal. 

The local Salvation Army division is harnessing a Grand Rapids company’s technology to allow customers to make fast and easy contactless donations to the nonprofit’s Red Kettle Campaign in the checkout lane at two area grocery stores.

Airbnb Works to Provide Shelter

According to the Nonprofit Times, Airbnb has launched a nonprofit that will help find shelter for those that may need it in times of crisis.

Airbnb launched its own 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to facilitating temporary stays for people in times of crisis with a commitment of $2 million to support partnerships with relief organizations.
