Amazon Works Towards Ending Homelessness

"I was working in London and came across this homeless man on the street. As I went to take this photograph to raise the plight of the homeless, his dog looked right at me with such sorrowful eyes. It was then that I noticed the larger dog, curled up beside him. I went to a local store, bought two cans of dog food and him a hot roll and drink from a caf\u00e9. Since then, each year, rather than buying Christmas cards for family and friends, I always donate enough money to give a homeless person a shower, clothes and cooked meal and a place to stay on Christmas Day, via the UK charity, Crisis." Amazon is working on ways to end homelessness, reports Bloomberg. The company donated $5 million to Plymouth Housing in Seattle and $3 million to the Arlington Community Foundation. They will also match employee donations to nonprofits working on homelessness, up to $5 million until the end of  September.
