According to AP News, Disney and Lucas Films make a commitment to  nonprofit FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) with a $1.5 million donation, and in-kind and mentorship resources to help students succeed.

Sight Savers America worked with local schools to bring assistive technology to their classrooms, reports Valley Town Crier. The nonprofit donated several  CCTVs that will help students complete schoolwork and perform everyday tasks.

According to Ensia, Conservation International is participating as a partner in the tech accelerator, Elemental Excelerator, to harness the power of Silicon Valley to bring about new technology to help save the planet.
