Convio Common Ground for Donor Management

softwarereview-150The Convio Common Ground (www.convio.com ) is a constituent relationship management (CRM) solution. It effectively tracks each and every donation and interaction. Instead of having several different spreadsheets, databases and address books, this system allows a nonprofit organization to have everything needed in one program. This system can be used by the entire organization to collect and track all aspects of donor management.

In Use
The system is very easy to use and has a variety of tools and features to help with donor management. There are event management features to track sponsorships and invitations. The user can assign attendee levels and record expenses and payments. Common Ground has volunteer management tools to help organize and track volunteer data. This solution can be integrated with Lotus Notes, Microsoft Outlook and Google Apps.

Technology employed
Common Ground is web based. It is an on demand Software as a Service (SaaS) system. The system can be accessed from anywhere anytime using the Internet.

Ease of use, configuration, and deployment
This system is web based so there is no hardware, servers or additional software to install. Access to the Internet is all that is needed to use the solution. It is user friendly with many built in tools and features to easily navigate between modules. There are many online training and support resources available too.

Recap
The Common Ground CRM system allows one application to store, manage and use all information that your nonprofit organization needs to build stronger relationships with constituents. It is an open web based application that everyone in the organization can use. The system allows the user to make custom reports that can automatically be sent to the person through email or can be displayed in a dashboard. This is a comprehensive system that handles all aspects of donor management, no matter the size of the nonprofit organization.

Pricing for Common Ground is based on the number of staff that would have access to the database. For each person who has access to the system a “seat license” is purchased. The price is $100 per license per month for one to ten licenses. If your nonprofit organization needs more than ten licenses the company can provide you with a quote for your specific needs. The price includes the complete system, upgrades, support and access to many online resources.
