In Use:
Charity Republic was launched over a year ago and today more than 100 charities use it. It’s free for charities as well as Grassroot organizations who make less than $100K in annual revenue. Those who don’t make the cutoff and employ less than 250 volunteers can pay $25 per month or $300 annually with no hidden costs or additional fees.
There are many features available to users. One of the main features of Charity Republic is the ability to schedule and communicate with volunteers. Reports can be run to track availability, skills, and interests enabling the nonprofit to effectively pair their volunteers to the right opportunities. A unique feature is the ability for volunteers to tell their nonprofit how they’d like to be recognized whether it’s a simple thank you or a small gift. Volunteers can also utilize Charity Republic by accessing opportunities, communicating with supervisors and signing in and out.
Technology Used:
Nonprofits and volunteers only need to have access to a computer and internet to manage their account on Chairty Republic. Being mobile responsive, users can access it anywhere.
Ease of Use:
Charity Republic offers numerous webinars to first time users to help them navigate the site. Customer service is quick and efficient so if a user does have a question they can get an answer in a timely manner. Reports are easy to manage with just a few clicks.
Recap:
A volunteer management tool, Charity Republic allows nonprofit organizations to schedule volunteers, contact them, and run reports so they can concentrate on their constituents. Volunteers also have access to the software allowing them to check their schedules, sign in and out, and communicate with their supervisor if a problem arises.
Advantages:
When I spoke to the CEO of Charity Republic, Popy Dimoulas-Graham , she seemed passionate not only about Charity Republic but the volunteer community. Having begun volunteering at a young age, Dimoulas-Graham created a software that would empower nonprofits and charities and give the tools they needed to manage volunteers at a cost that’s within their budget.
If having trouble managing your volunteers, Charity Republic is worth a purchase. With reporting capabilities; webinars to teach users how to use the platform; the ability for volunteers to sign in and out, and other features; Charity Republic might not solve all of your volunteer management woes, but it definitely comes close.
