Himalayan Stove Project Matches Donations on #GivingTuesday

In an effort to get back to a more meaningful sense of the “holiday spirit” after the over-hyped Black Friday (November 28) and Cyber Monday (December 1) spending binges that follow Thanksgiving, more than 10,000 organizations will give consumers more bang for their donated and charitable bucks on #GivingTuesday,December 2, 2014.

DAF Grants to Charities Exceeded $9.66 Billion

The 2014 Donor-Advised Fund Report, the most complete source for U.S. donor-advised funds (DAFs) statistics, found that grants from DAFs to qualified charities reached a record high of $9.66 billion in 2013, a 12.6 percent increase over 2012. Total DAF charitable assets grew nearly 20 percent to $53.74 billion according to the report, published annually by National Philanthropic Trust (NPT).

BidPal, Inc., a fundraising technology company, announced today that it will release new mobile donation software just in time to help nonprofits with their#GivingTuesday and end-of-year fundraising campaigns. The #BidPalGiving service will be offered free to BidPal clients during the month of December.
