CDC Software Acquires Information Development Consultants

CDC Software, based in Shanghai and Atlanta, has acquired Information Development Consultants, a Chicago-based company that markets SaaS-based ERP systems for state and local governments and not-for-profit markets. IDC's product will be integrated into the CDC Gomembers enterprise product line and will expand CDC's activityin state and local government markets. In February, CDC acquired Computility, an association management application which offers Web modules and collaboration tools for NFPs.

AccuFund, Inc., provider of financial reporting and accounting software for non-profit, municipal and government organizations, today announced a partnership with F9 to integrate F9 Professional Version 5, an Excel-based financial reporting tool, with the AccuFund Accounting Suite. With F9 Professional Version 5, AccuFund users will have an easy-to-use financial reporting option that dynamically links to the AccuFund General Ledger (GL) and allows them to create flexible, customizable reports in Microsoft Excel.

Omidyar Network Grant Helps Code for America Connect

Omidyar Network has announced a $250,000 grant to Code for America to jumpstart the process of placing 23 top web professionals in five U.S. cities to help make government information more accessible and transparent. In tandem, Code for America announced a call for applications from web designers and developers who wish to serve their country as the Code for America 2011 Fellows. Those selected will design and deploy open source, citizen-oriented municipal IT projects that can be shared by all U.S. cities.
