Connected Nation Makes Tech Investment to Increase Access to Broadband Tools NASA

Connected Nation, in partnership with Hatfield Media, announced today the unveiling of an enhanced, user-focused, and streamlined website. These innovative changes are designed to improve access to and understanding of the services, programs, and resources regarding broadband (high-speed internet) and its related technologies the national nonprofit offers to individuals, communities, and states. According to Tom Ferree, Chairman & CEO, the mission of the nonprofit is to close the Digital Divide and provide access to broadband for all. 

Opinion:

The mission of Connected Nation is admirable and necessary in this day and age. Access to the internet is no longer a luxury, but a necessity for many aspects of life. It is encouraging to see a nonprofit organization taking the initiative to bridge the Digital Divide. However, it is not enough to simply provide access to the internet. It is also important to ensure that everyone has the necessary skills to make the most of the internet and its resources. It is essential to provide education and training to ensure that everyone can benefit from the internet.
