ReadySetAuction Makes Procuring high-value, highly desirable auction items easier
ReadySetAuction launched JumpStart web site where non-profit organizations can reserve, without obligation, travel and adventure packages to auction off during their online and live/silent charity auction events.
In its continuing effort to streamline the process of conducting fundraiser auctions, Arsetta, Inc., developer of ReadySetAuction.com, the popular benefit auction management web-software solution, is pleased to announce the launch of its JumpStart Auction Procurement web site.
Through the JumpStart web site, auction committees can without obligation reserve vacation and adventure packages to sell during their live/silent gala auction events and on their online auctions. In other words, the non-profit organization holding the auction only pays for the package after the auction is completed and after the money has been collected from the winning bidder.
“One significant challenge faced by any organization holding a benefit auction concerns the procurement of high-value items to auction off,” explains Sam Weiss, Arsetta’s CEO and co-founder. “Quite often the pool of donors is made up of the same constituents who purchase the auction items. It can feel a bit like ‘double dipping.’ We created JumpStart to help address this issue.” Offerings range from three-night ski and golf packages at preeminent North American resorts, to romantic beach getaways in the Caribbean, to ‘Race Car Driver For A Day’ and ‘Fighter Pilot For A Day’ adventures, and more.
“Reserving a package is risk free!” adds Kevin Spykerman of The Gavel Group, the premier supplier of benefit auction travel packages, chosen by ReadySetAuction as its partner for the JumpStart program. “If the package doesn’t sell, the non-profit is under no obligation to purchase it. Even better, if in the frenzy of bidding the auctioneer sells the same package a second (or third, or fourth…) time, that’s no problem. The non-profit can sell the same package multiple times if they wish; and there is no limit to the number of JumpStart packages the non-profit sells.” The price the non-profit pays for a package is typically between 20% and 40% of its suggested retail value.
Presentation materials are included with each JumpStart package: a downloadable flyer for bidders to reference during the gala auction, and instructions for adding the description and image to a ReadySetAuction-powered online auction site. “We founded Arsetta 5 years ago around a simple vision: to make it easier for non-profit organizations to raise the funds they need to fulfill their missions” CEO Weiss continues. “Our JumpStart procurement program is simply a logical next step in the evolution of our service offerings in support of that mission. Now not only do non-profit organizations of all sizes have access to an enterprise-class auction management software solution in ReadySetAuction, but they also have risk-free access to highly attractive, high-value travel packages to auction off, making raising funds that much easier.”
ReadySetAuction has partnered with The Gavel Group to provide travel, destination and experience packages to its customers for their fundraising auction events. Based in Irvine California, The Gavel Group is a premier supplier of auction items for non-profit organizations. Insured and bonded, The Gavel Group is a registered commercial fundraiser with The Attorney General and a registered seller of travel. The Gavel Group is also a member of IATA, the International Air Transport Association, and CLIA, the Cruise Line International Association.
