In this role, Thornton will lead JMT's sales and work closely with and report to Kent Hollrah, president of JMT Consulting Group. Thornton brings ten years of experience with software solutions for not-for-profit and public sector organizations as part of Micro Information Products and then Sage Software.

Thornton most recently held the title of director of sales for Sage Software's Nonprofit Solutions business unit. Prior to that role, he was director of product management for Sage Software, where he was responsible for all of their nonprofit accounting and fundraising solutions. Under Thornton's leadership, Sage MIP Fund Accounting received three consecutive Campbell Awards recognizing MIP's extremely high user satisfaction.
