Phoenix-based software company Heritage Designs celebrates 10 year anniversary

As a fundraising professional with more than 30 years of volunteer and professional experience, Diana Hoyt knows first hand the difficulties in tracking donors, raising money in a down economy, and training staff to use software.

That’s why her primary goal when she started her company Heritage Designs, LLC 10 years ago in 1998 was to provide comprehensive and easy-to-use software with excellent support.

“Our first software product – MatchMaker Fundraising Software – showed our strengths and what we were capable of accomplishing,” said Diana Hoyt, president and founder of Heritage Designs. “We’ve now launched our second product with plans for a third and fourth. Ten years has gone by quickly, and I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished.”

But has she met her goal. According to the Campbell Rinker Research Company, definitely. MatchMaker Fundraising Software was named twice as one of the top fundraising software packages throughout the United States.

The company now has clients in 26 states coast to coast. While Heritage Designs has continued to grow its client base and expand its product offerings, they have never lost sight of their clients, which include hospitals, colleges and schools, library foundations and social service organizations, such as domestic violence shelters, food banks and more.

“We take great pride in helping our clients accomplish goals they never thought they could,” said Hoyt. “In addition to software, we also offer consulting and training, both of which provide an opportunity to increase a nonprofit’s capacity for fundraising success.”

Hoyt’s background in education and fundraising has enabled her to be so successful. Her passion for the nonprofit industry helps too.

“I have a real firm belief in the value nonprofits bring to our community,” said Hoyt. ”Being a part of the difference they make . . . there’s nothing better.”

That’s why Hoyt donates her software to a deserving nonprofit each year. Most of the nonprofits chosen have been Arizona-based nonprofits that work with children, a personal focus for Hoyt.

Hoyt is known throughout the Phoenix community and was named the Fundraising Executive of the Year in 2004 by the Greater Arizona Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. Heritage Designs also was awarded Outstanding Business of the Year in 2005 by the Phoenix Chapter of Executive Women International.

Heritage Designs is committed to serving the nonprofit sector and to providing excellence in designing solutions for fundraising. The cornerstone of its approach is MatchMaker FundRaising Software, a fundraising/donor management software package. In addition to the software, Heritage Designs provides comprehensive training, technical support and fundraising consulting.
