Kintera Launches First Connect Developer's Challenge
Kintera® Inc. has announced its Connect Developer’s Challenge. The contest, sponsored by Kintera, is designed to provide nonprofits with innovative solutions to meet their business and technology needs.
Using Kintera’s open platform technology, Kintera Connect™, entrants will be given the chance to win up to $25,000 by entering a software application or applications that integrate directly with Kintera’s platform or customizes an existing Kintera application.
“Through the Connect Developer’s Challenge we are encouraging developers and nonprofits to help increase the pool of technology choices for nonprofit organizations,” said Steve Johnson, vice president of channels for Kintera. “The Developer’s Challenge and Kintera Connect enable applications to be developed by those that best understand the challenges nonprofits face. This will enable Kintera, our partners, and our clients to select best-of-breed applications from our ever-expanding catalog of solutions. Kintera Connect is another way we are enabling nonprofits to run more efficiently and better achieve their missions.”
In addition to the grand prize of $15,000, Kintera is also offering two second-place prizes of $5,000 each. Three finalists will be selected and receive a trip to the Kintera User Conference, scheduled for April 30-May 1, 2008 in Washington, D.C., where the winner will be announced.
Contest registration is open until March 14, 2008 and all participants must be a verified Connect partner. There is no cost to join the Kintera Connect partner program.
