Kintera Connect Partner Creates E-Commerce Integration
Kintera® Inc. has announced that Kintera Connect partner Solid Cactus®, an award-winning Web design company and total solutions e-commerce provider, has created an integration between Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Stores and Kintera’s donor management solution. The integration enables nonprofits using both applications to get a more comprehensive view of donors and their e-commerce purchases.
The integration, which was created using Kintera Connect, the company’s open application integration platform, records purchases made in Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Stores and pushes the data into Kintera’s donor management solution. Nonprofit organizations using Kintera’s donor management will now be able to record Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Store purchases as an activity enabling nonprofits to store more donor data in a single place.
“Because many organizations have a separate system for e-commerce and donor management they can miss important donor information,” said Scott Sanfilippo, President Solid Cactus. “This integration makes it possible for organizations to discover supporters that have purchased through the Yahoo! Merchant Solution Stores e-commerce system. More importantly though, it transfers purchase data to Kintera’s powerful donor management solution, where nonprofits can learn how constituents are interacting with the organization and potentially discover new donors.”
Kintera Connect is the company’s open application integration platform and enables clients and partners to integrate third party solutions with Kintera technology. Kintera’s platform of software solutions includes donor management, donor engagement, advocacy, wealth screening, and accounting solutions. The company is the only software as a service provider in the nonprofit industry to offer this comprehensive suite of solutions.
Additionally, Kintera’s multi-tenant architecture enables all clients and applications to share one centrally maintained common infrastructure and code base. The multi-tenant architecture creates a distinct boundary between Kintera's open platform and the applications that run on it. Because Kintera also provides consistent application programming interfaces (APIs), partners can develop an integrated application once and offer it repeatedly to other clients.
“The availability of the Yahoo! Merchant Solutions Stores integration demonstrates the usability of our Kintera Connect platform and APIs,” said Steve Johnson, vice president of channels for Kintera. “Because we are partnering with application providers in both the nonprofit and enterprise sectors, we will continue to see more and more integrations become available. The development community and particularly those in the Kintera Connect partner program are able to quickly build applications to provide a catalog of best of breed solutions.”
