The Early Learning Coalition of Duval and Pace Center for Girls in Clay County have both appointed new leaders. Angel Carro was promoted to president and CEO of the Early Learning Coalition of Duval, and Genelle Thomas was appointed executive director of Pace Center for Girls in Clay County. Carro has been with the Early Learning Coalition since 2006 and has overseen the coalition's $111 million budget. Thomas follows Christina Helbling who departed to become full-time owner and executive director of Huntington Learning Center in St. Johns.

Members and advocates of the nonprofit The Wall Las Memorias Project attended the Los Angeles City Council meeting on Wednesday to express their concerns about a motion to transfer $500,000 in funds from the nonprofit to the community programs fund for Council District 1. The Wall Las Memorias Project serves the underserved Latino LGBTQ+ community, providing services such as HIV and substance-abuse prevention, mental health and more.

The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation (CRCF) has opened registration for Cattaraugus Gives, an online giving platform for local nonprofits. The platform, which is available at cattaraugusgives.org, allows donors to search for and donate to their favorite local nonprofits.
