Girls in Tech is receiving support from Amazon Web Services for the annual conference and additional programs that it is offering, reports Silicon Angle. 

Amazon Web Service Inc. early today announced that it will provide support for the global nonprofit Girls in Tech and its annual conference.

Reinforcing a corporate mission that propels purpose alongside growth, Social Solutions announced today it is a certified Delaware Public Benefit Corporation, demonstrating commitment to clients, employees and social purpose both internally and externally. 

According to Parentology, nonprofit Computing Minds was founded by 16 year old Juliette Palacios who wanted to encourage girls to pursue coding. 

There’s a wide disparity when it comes to females versus males in the world of computer coding: 8% of current computer developers are women and 92% are male. Statistics like these are not lost on 16-year-old Juliette Palacios, who founded the nonprofit Computing Minds, which aims to inspire and educate girls in computer science careers.
