Sage Group, plc has announced its intentions to sell Sage Nonprofit Solutions to Accel-KKR, a Silicon Valley-based private equity firm. The investment allows Sage Nonprofit Solutions, headquartered in Austin, to focus on implementing new and best-in-class solutions that meet the expanding needs of the nonprofit and government sectors.

Razoo.com, a crowdfunding platform for causes announced survey findings that Americans are 12 times more likely to donate to First Lady Michelle Obama's charities over causes endorsed by major entertainment celebrities. Of the 2,059 adults aged 18 and older surveyed online by Harris Interactive on behalf of Razoo in November 2012, 65% say that they would not donate to any celebrity's causes. Read more...

Blackbaud, Inc. released a Charitable Giving Report, featuring the sector's first look at how nonprofit fundraising performed in 2012. The Report draws from The Blackbaud Index, which tracks $8 billion in U.S.-based charitable giving on a monthly basis to provide the largest analysis of overall and online giving trends in the nonprofit sector.
