Nonprofit Receives Grant for Interpreter Training

According to the Dorchester Reporter, a $400,000 grant has been given to nonprofit Found in Translation to help them continue to train bilingual low income women to work as medical interpreters.
Found in Translation, a Dorchester-based nonprofit, has received a $400,000 grant from the Cummings Foundation, to be spread over 10 years, that will allow it to continue training low-income, bilingual women to become medical interpreters.

Social media platform Instagram has added a new feature to its fundraising capabilities. The new functionality allows users who have created fundraisers to invite other individuals to become co-sponsors of their efforts.

A new report on America’s multi-billion-dollar nonprofit fundraising industry suggests it is on the brink of a staffing crisis that could affect millions of people. America’s 1.5 million-plus charitable organizations face a “severe shortage of qualified fundraisers” that could seriously restrict their efforts to raise critically needed funds -- and impact millions of people served by them, the report says.
